2nd International Doctoral Conference titled 'Social Sciences in the Research of Young Scholars'

The event is primarily addressed to doctoral students conducting research in the field of social sciences, particularly in the following disciplines: sociology, economics and finance, law, pedagogy, psychology, socio-economic geography and spatial management, management and quality sciences, and political science and administration.

The aim of the conference is to provide a platform for young researchers to present their studies in social sciences and to create a space for interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge and experiences. We encourage participants to present research within the field of social sciences using both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Presentations may cover research findings, doctoral dissertation concepts, and methodological aspects. Interdisciplinary presentations combining different scientific disciplines are also welcome.

Conference Format:

The conference will take place in a hybrid format, with both in-person and online sessions.

• June 12–13, 2025 – on-site sessions in Lodz, at the Center for Doctoral Schools, University of Lodz,

• June 14, 2025 – online sessions via Microsoft Teams.

The number of panels and the detailed conference schedule will be adjusted based on the number of submitted presentations.

Additional Activities:

During the conference, participants will have the opportunity to attend meetings with experts from various scientific disciplines. These sessions will provide a unique opportunity for consultations, exchange of opinions, and practical guidance on conducting research, as well as insight into current trends in science.

Additionally, we have planned several networking and integration activities, including:

• Academic speed-dating – short, dynamic conversations that allow participants to establish new contacts,

• A guided tour of Lodz – an informal opportunity for networking while exploring the city.

Conference Fees:

Participation in the conference requires a fee, depending on the selected form of attendance:

• 380 PLN – on-site participation with accommodation at the Training and Conference Center in Lodz (Kopcinskiego 16/18, 90-232 Lodz) in a shared twin room,

• 300 PLN – on-site participation without accommodation,

• 100 PLN – online participation.

The on-site conference fee includes a certificate of participation, coffee breaks, lunch, and integration activities. The online participation fee includes a certificate of participation and access to all sessions and discussion panels on the third day of the conference via Microsoft Teams.

Registration:

Participants interested in presenting at the conference may submit their presentations in Polish or English. The abstract must be in the same language as the planned presentation. • Abstract submission deadline: April 25, 2025 (by 23:59)

• Notification of acceptance: April 30, 2025
